Why Oggi Loves His Charity Chums

Oggi’s dream is for every pet in the world to enjoy living a safe, happy and healthy life in the arms of their loving owners.

That’s why he and everyone at Oggi’s World have been happy to work with their charity chums who, like Oggi, believe in ensuring that all pet owners, young and old, have access to excellent education and information about animal welfare and products.

Oggi first struck up a friendship with the leading UK animal welfare charity Blue Cross, with whom we proudly formed a partnership in 2019. The amazing Blue Cross team deliver truly valuable work through free school visits, teaching young people about pet welfare, staying safe around dogs and responsible pet ownership.

Their engagement with primary and secondary school pupils nationwide encourages correct behaviour from an early age. To support the charity’s work, we contributed 5% of our sales to support Blue Cross’s education programme.

Oggi also supported the charity’s Fireworks, Christmas and Welfare needs leaflets, and during lockdown, his tail wouldn’t stop wagging as he got his teeth into some fun interactive word searches and colouring-in sheets.

Oggi’s creator, Founder Tracey Voss, says: “I always wanted to support Blue Cross because they run brilliant education programmes for youngsters. The other reason was to thank them for the outstanding support they gave animals during the war. Their help for war animals is a subject very close to my heart.

“I believe we should all do more to honour not just our Servicemen and Servicewomen, but also our four-legged soldiers, the forgotten heroes of the war. They should be honoured with equal Remembrance on Poppy Day and I’d like to see wreaths containing both red and purple poppies.”

Tracey and the Oggi’s World team are now keen to help other charities. After our partnership with Blue Cross came to an end, Oggi has begun looking forward to forging new friendships and relationships with other charities in the UK and around the world.
